Agile Senior SysOp / DevOp (f/m)

for the development of our PPC Advertising management software, which is the core technology of our company. 

We offer our software as inhouse services or as SaaS platform to some of the most successful eCommerce companies in Europe. Our infrastructure, which is based on Java and Ruby with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, is supposed to hit massive requirements in terms of high-availability, performance and scalability.

Together with your agile team, you are responsible for setup, deployment and maintenance of the platform, working side-by-side with developers and Product Owner.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As a member of an agile team, you drive the architecture, maintenance and development of our crealytics platform forward. You have an impact on the technologies and tools we use
  • You are the driving force behind topics like virtualization, cloud-computing, auto-scaling and configuration management tools
  • You optimize our Jenkins Continuous Integration and Capistrano Deployment systems and you share our vision of Continuous Deployment
  • You make potential risks visible in advance by writing performance and stress tests
  • At every moment, you know how our servers are doing and you see rising problems in advance
  • You are taking care of challenges like caching and queuing so that our systems are fast and stable even with billions of data sets

Your Profile:

  • You are a modern DevOp who doesn‘t know any walls between development and operations
  • You have massive experience with Linux / Unix system operations, virtualization and cloudcomputing
  • You are familiar with automated testing for SOA environments
  • Ruby is your Swiss Army Knife in daily routine
  • You are obsessive about metrics, monitoring, automation and documentation
  • Relational database systems as well as NoSQL systems are nothing new to you
  • You also like doing some pair programming / working with a developer
  • You have excellent analytical skills, experience in PPC Advertising is a plus
  • You are fluent in English, German is a plus
